Lower.com Field — Practical Guide for Fans and Visitors

Lower.com Field is Columbus' modern soccer stadium and the home of the Columbus Crew. Opened in 2021 with a capacity around 20,000, it delivers close-up views, loud crowds, and a compact feel that makes every matchday fun. Whether you’re coming for MLS, a concert, or a special event, this guide covers what you need to know so your visit goes smoothly.

Matchday tips

Want the best experience? Buy tickets from the team’s official site or Ticketmaster to avoid scams. Supporter sections bring the noise, but if you prefer a calmer view, choose seats away from the end where the chants start. Aim to arrive 45–90 minutes before kickoff: you’ll avoid lines, see warm-ups, and catch pregame food stands while they’re less busy.

Expect a clear-bag policy and other usual stadium rules. Large bags, outside alcohol, and professional cameras are commonly restricted. Always check the event page for specific prohibited items before you leave. Bring a light layer—even summer nights can get breezy—and sunscreen if you’ll be in direct sun before dusk.

Food and drink options focus on local vendors and seasonal menus. You’ll find craft beer and stadium staples plus some Columbus flavors. If you have dietary needs, look up venue food maps beforehand or call the box office to confirm options like vegetarian or gluten-free choices.

Getting there & parking

The stadium sits close to downtown Columbus, so public transit, rideshares, and walking from nearby neighborhoods are all solid options. If you drive, pre-purchase parking when possible. Lot prices vary by event and near-date purchases often cost more. Follow stadium signage and staff directions when entering and leaving — it saves time and keeps traffic flowing.

Using a rideshare? Set the pickup and drop-off points shown on the official venue map to avoid long walks. If you prefer transit, check local bus schedules and leave extra time for transfers after the event.

Accessibility and family info: Lower.com Field offers ADA seating, elevators, and assistive services. If you need assistance or specific seating, contact the venue ahead of time to reserve seats and learn about companion policies. Families will find kid-friendly zones and family restrooms — again, the stadium site has the latest layout and services.

Planning for concerts or non-soccer events? The stadium transforms for large shows, so entry points, bag rules, and food options may change. Always read the event ticket page for differences from a regular match.

Quick checklist before you leave:

  • Tickets ready on your phone or printed if required.
  • Valid ID for will-call or age-restricted purchases.
  • Clear bag or small daypack that meets policy.
  • Public transit or parking plan and extra time for lines.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and cashless payment method.

Got questions about a specific game or event at Lower.com Field? Check the Columbus Crew official schedule or the event’s ticket page for the fastest updates. Enjoy the atmosphere — the stadium makes for a great live experience, whether it’s soccer, music, or a big community event.
